The university course “ESG and Corporate Organization,” taught by Dr. Giovanni Felice di Prisco, is a 48-hour program dedicated to understanding how ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) criteria have become a strategic factor for competitiveness, value creation, and risk management in business.
The goal of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, tools, and operational metrics needed to concretely integrate sustainability into corporate strategy and operations. It demonstrates how ESG practices create measurable value for both the company and its stakeholders.
The curriculum is organized into five modules:
ESG Fundamentals and Regulatory Framework: Sustainability, circular economy, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GRI, SASB, TCFD, and double materiality.
ESG and Corporate Organization: Strategy, KPIs, sustainable finance, human resources, and value creation.
Waste Management and Circular Models: Reuse, competitiveness, and case studies.
Future Trends: The impact of technology, digitalization, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) on ESG.
Case Studies and Final Discussion: Banking (Intesa Sanpaolo) and sustainable supply chains (Schneider Electric).
The teaching approach is highly practical. Beyond standard lectures, 40% of the course is dedicated to real-world cases, group projects, and simulations designed to transform theoretical knowledge into professional skills.
The course aims to foster active participation and train professionals capable of leading sustainable innovation within organizations.
